The Ditsy (“we”) is a small independent project run from New Zealand. Here’s what we collect, why, and the choices you have. Any questions, just email hello@theditsy.com.
We rely on our agreement with you for features, gifts, and prizes, and our legitimate interest in running and improving The Ditsy.
We don’t sell your information. We only share it with services that help us run The Ditsy (Amazon Web Services, who host the site, our database, file storage and email, and Sentry, which records technical errors), postal carriers delivering something, and authorities if the law requires it. We’re based in New Zealand, and your information is stored and processed in the United States, where those services host it.
Only as long as we need it. For example, we keep makers’ original files for 12 months, and addresses until a parcel or prize has arrived.
You can ask to see, correct, delete, or get a copy of your information, or to limit or object to how we use it. Just email us. If you’re in New Zealand, you can also complain to the Privacy Commissioner, and if you’re in the EU or UK, to your local data protection authority. Our site doesn’t respond to “Do Not Track” browser signals.
The Ditsy isn’t meant for children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their information. If we update this policy, we’ll change the date at the top.
