Welcome to The Ditsy. The Ditsy is a small independent project run from New Zealand (“we,” “us”), and by using it you agree to these terms. Makers have their own Maker Feature Submission Agreement, and our Privacy Policy covers everyone’s information.

01Using the site and the Makers Index
Enjoy and share The Ditsy, but please don’t copy, scrape, or republish our content without asking. Everything here, including the writing, photos, design, and Makers Index, belongs to The Ditsy or the people who license it to us. Makers we’ve photographed may use those photos to promote their own business, as set out in our Maker Feature Submission Agreement.
We feature independent makers and do our best to get the details right, but we can’t promise everything is accurate or current. Any purchase or conversation with a maker is between you and them. We don’t endorse or guarantee their products, shipping, or conduct, and we aren’t responsible for other sites we link to. We may organize, feature, or remove makers at our discretion.
Please be kind: no harassment, false information, impersonation, or anything unlawful.
02Disclaimers and liability
The site is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don’t test or certify any product we feature, and nothing we publish is a safety or age-suitability claim.
To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim connected to the site is limited to $100, and we aren’t liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages.
03Changes and governing law
We may update these terms, and the date at the top shows the latest version. These terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand, without taking away any rights you have where you live that can’t be excluded by agreement.
Part Two
Official Giveaway Rules
If we run a giveaway, these are the rules.
Free to enter. No purchase necessary, and buying something won’t improve your chances. Void where prohibited.
Sponsor. The Ditsy, run from New Zealand (hello@theditsy.com). This giveaway isn’t sponsored, endorsed, or administered by, or associated with, Instagram or Meta, and by entering you completely release them.
Who can enter. Anyone 18 or over (or the age of majority where they live) in the places named in the post. International giveaways exclude Quebec, Italy, Brazil, and anywhere under US sanctions or where we can’t ship. Our team, the prize supplier’s team, and their households can’t enter.
How to enter. Each post gives the prize, its approximate value, the dates, and the steps to enter. Follow them before it closes (US Eastern time). It’s one entry per person, and fake or automated entries don’t count.
The winner. Picked at random within seven days of closing, so the odds depend on the number of entries. We’ll message the winner from @theditsy, and they have 48 hours to reply with their name and address, or we’ll draw again. Winners in Canada must first answer a skill-testing question. We’ll never ask for money to release a prize.
The prize. No cash alternative or transfers, and we may swap it for something of equal or greater value. We cover postage, and any import duties or taxes are the winner’s. We can’t promise a prize meets product rules outside the maker’s home market.
Your details. We use the winner’s name and address only to send the prize, and never share them with the prize supplier. See our Privacy Policy.
The legal bit. By entering, you release us and the prize supplier from any claim connected to the giveaway, and our liability is limited to the prize’s value. We may cancel or change a giveaway if something outside our control stops it running fairly. New Zealand law applies, without taking away rights you have where you live. Email us to ask who won.
